Asparagus (nicknamed Uncle Gus) is a minor character in Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends. He is Miss Spider's adoptive brother and the uncle of her children. He is a red and green beetle.
Biography[]
Gus is the uncle of the Spider children who often appears alongside Betty, their grandmother. He seldom joins the kids on their adventures but encourages them to explore and use their imaginations.

Gus is mostly a red color. The front of his body is a blue-green color, and his eyes are blue. He has six legs, two of which he uses as arms.
